Living at William Street Quarter you will enjoy excellent transport links. The City of London is just 17 minutes away, with 13 C2C trains departing for London Fenchurch Street every hour during peak times. In the other direction the C2C line takes you to Southend in 39 minutes.

Barking Station sits on the District and Hammersmith and City Underground lines. A change at West Ham brings you to Canary Wharf in just over 20 minutes.

By road the M25 can be reached in around 20 minutes. London City Airport lies in the neighbouring borough of Newham.

Leisure

Barking Town Centre has the Abbey Sports Centre, which is due to be replaced by a brand new leisure centre in 2014. Next door is the Broadway Theatre, with a lively programme of music, dance, drama, comedy and children’s shows throughout the year.

Barking Park, the borough’s oldest park, has recently enjoyed a major refurbishment and now has a visitor centre, splash park wet play facility, café and rowing boats. Mayesbrook Park has also benefited from a recent refurbishment, becoming the UK’s first climate change park. It is also home to Sport House, which was used as an Olympic training venue and has the largest multi-use sports hall in the country.

Retail

Barking Town Centre offers excellent shopping opportunities with the Vicarage Field Shopping Centre and a traditional street market three days a week, with occasional continental and international markets.

Work is already underway on a new 86,000 sq ft supermarket in London Road, less than 300 yards from William Street Quarter. This will open in 2015.
